Car Hire with a debit card is now available from Grantley Adams Airport! Also known as Bridgetown Airport, Grantley Adams Airport is the main gateway into Barbados, a real tropical Caribbean paradise in the West Indies. The airport mainly serves the city of Bridgetown, the island’s capital, where a large majority of the population reside. Founded in 1628, shortly after the first British colony, Bridgetown was quite the controversial choice for the capital initially, due to it’s original location in a noxious swamp! Barbados as a whole gained independence from the British Empire in 1966, and very recently transitioned to a republic within the Commonwealth in 2021.
Barbados is considered to be one of the absolute top tourist destinations in the Caribbean, and it’s easy to why! With it’s tropical climate and crystal clear seas, it’s a beachgoers haven. Some popular ones include Carlisle Bay, a crescent shaped bay with calm waters perfect for swimming and diving, and Bathsheba beach, a rugged and rockier beach built for surfing. At the heart of the island you can find the magnificent Harrison’s Cave, a breathtaking crystallized limestone cave, with flowing streams, deep pools and stalactites that are still growing year by year. And for the foodies out there, the many world class eateries showcasing Bajan cuisine are not to be missed!

What Debit Cards do we accept, and how does it work?
We can accept any standard Visa or MasterCard debit cards, they just need to be linked to the driver’s bank account and have the driver’s name on it. We cannot take any prepaid or top-up cards, nor Maestro or V-Pay.

It depends on the supplier, but it’s either just debited and refunded or held as a pending transaction temporarily.
You can rent any standard models from the mini size to large 9-seat passenger vans. We just can’t rent out premium cars is all.

Yes certainly, we can rent to anyone over the age of 21.
No, zero excess is completely optional, but you can add it on if you want to of course.
