Car hire with a debit card is now available from Kutaisi Airport! Kutaisi is the capital of the western region of Imereti in Georgia, and is one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world. Dating all the way back to at least the sixth century BC, Kutaisi was once the capital of the Kingdom of Colchis, famed as the final destination of Jason and the Argonauts in Argonautica. Not only that, but in the centuries following Kutaisi was also the capital of the Kingdoms of Lazica, Abkhazia, Georgia and Imereti, all leaving a massive cultural footprint on the city today.
Whilst it doesn’t quite have the bustling streets of Tbilisi, Kutaisi offers a more relaxing holiday with its charming cozy streets and green spaces. Kutaisi is most well known for its two World Heritage churches – the Bagrati Cathedral, a shining example of medieval Georgian architecture built during the reign of King Bagrat, and the Gelati Monastery, one of the earliest monasteries in Georgia founded in 1106. Other famous buildings include the Royal Palace of Geguti along the Riona river, which served as the Georgian royal residence in the Middle Ages. And lastly it would be a shame to omit the Sataplia Cave and Nature Reserve, a cave complex with spectacular sights of towering stalagmites and stalactites, and even fossilized dinosaur footprints!

We can accept any standard Visa or MasterCard debit cards, as long as they are linked to the driver’s bank account and have the driver’s name on it. We cannot take any prepaid or top-up cards, nor Maestro or V-Pay.
