Car hire with a debit card is now available at Saskatoon Airport! Saskatoon is the largest city in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan, overtaking even the provincial capital Regina. It’s name is derived from the sweet Saskatoon berry abundant in the region, which itself comes from the indigenous Cree name of “misâskwatômina”. Saskatoon actually has quite a sizable indigenous First Nations population too, having one the highest percentages in the country, with major major populations of Cree, Dakota and Métis to name a few. Founded in the early 1900’s, the city was originally intended to be a dry community to escape the liquor trade, though that didn’t last long!
Saskatoon is a city of culture with a rich indigenous and pioneer history, and it has some amazing museums to showcase that! Of particular note is the Wanuskewin Heritage Park, a First Nations archaeological site with tons of different events and activities, and also the Western Development Museum, a museum with four different sites showcasing the unique aspects of early pioneer life. Saskatoon is certainly no bore for nature goers too, with the Beaver Creek Conservation Area having some great trails for animal lovers, and the Meewasin Valley offering some beautiful picturesque riverside views.

What Debit Cards do we accept, and how does it work?
All standard Visa / MasterCard debit cards are accepted, but they must be linked to the driver’s bank account with the driver’s name on it. We cannot take any prepaid or top-up cards, nor Maestro or V-Pay.
Please note for Canada you will need to be flying in and out, and have proof of return flights when collecting.

It depends on the supplier, but it’s either just debited and refunded or held as a pending transaction temporarily.
You can rent any standard models from the mini size to large 9-seat passenger vans. We just can’t rent out premium cars is all.
No extra costs at all, you are just limited to specific suppliers.
Yes, we can rent to anyone over the age of 21, including those on a new licence.
